IIRC, and back in the "Iron Man" days, there was one year that Sammy Baugh was first in the NFL in passing, punting AND interceptions.
Baugh is a big name in these parts. The golf course I play at the junior college here is The Sammy Baugh Golf Course. He played here from the mid 70's until he passed away. Sam's son David was the head football coach here at the high school for several years. His great grandson (from David's sister, not him) was the QB here for a couple of years and wore Sam's #33. I was in El Paso during that time so I never met him.
