Bookie:
$ 20.00
2nd loss in a row.

10 million a year.

Discuss.

Absolutely.

He gets paid the same as Ryan Day and more than Jimbo.

It's not on either of those two levels, and might not even good enough to be a coordinator for either coach.

Him and Jimbo are battling for the title
No way.

Jimbo has a Natty and an elite recruiting class.

Looks like their main problem this year is that they are young, and maybe believed in their preseason hype.

Mel had 1 good season with MSU, and before than 1 losing season at Colorado.

Crazy hire, and even worse contract extension.

who’s going to tell him about Jimbo?

He and jimbo are the obvious choices for now. A couple others are in the wait and see potential. Riley, Cristobal, and Kelly. But they each have a few seasons before anything can be said

Paying him all that money kept Sparty from looking like a stepping stone again. Unlike Oregon.

Prolly worth it tbh.

Sad the state Sparty is in right now, just sad

yes, probably since Frost is gone
Still no.

Tucker is getting paid almost DOUBLE what Frost was and have achieved a LOT less.

Mel Tucker is the 5th highest paid in country, and has been a head coach for 4 years with a record of.....

20-16

That record is a lot better than Frost. But I do agree he his vastly overpaid

No it's not.

Frost is 35-38 after 7 years.

Frost has a pct of .479
Tucker has a pct of .556

And again, Frost had a lot of success as HC going into Nebraska.

Mel had no success at HC before going to State, and outside of his 11-2 year at State, has never even had a winning record at the end of the year.

Point is this...Tucker is in NO WAY a lot better than Frost.

.556 is a lot better than .479.

If you are what your record says you are, this isn’t even a comparison.

Mel has a job, so he wins this pretend battle twice.

Do you realize this discussion is not who the better coach is, but who is the more overpaid coach?

Mel Tucker is the 5th highest paid coach, and historically has a slightly over a .500 record.

We'd all be so lucky to be paid $9.5m to be 50% proficient at our job.
