wants out of his letter of intent and doesn't want to go to UF. Evidently, they aren't able to pay up the NIL that was promised.

Ooof! That's their QB of the future, their top-ranked player.

Miami matched it and upped the ante.

CFB recruiting has become a complete shit show.

Well
That would be a big problem I'm thinking
He should just tell them he wants to be near his sick grandma. That’s how Eddie Vanderdoes broke his LOI with Notre Dame.

If you are willing to go to Miami for an NIL deal, I cannot take you serious as a QB that wants to succeed.

So is it Miami or did a 3rd party get involved?

I’m speculating that it’s Miami or it’s collective.

Of course if he’s bailing because he didn’t get all he was promised I’d question his ability to be a team player.

67 page thread on 247's main UF board. I ain't reading all that. It just seems that the UF collective isn't going to pay, or can't pay. A lot of rumors here, not that that will stop me. Man, this looks ugly from an organizational perspective.

Miami is the most likely destination but I wouldn't be surprised if someone out west got involved. Washington lost a QB late in the process and may make a push for him. I believe at least one of his HS teammates signed there.

I don’t think it’s limited to UF. A lot of these kids are finding they’ve been promised the moon and they’re coming up short.

Besides the deep pockets would rather spend it on known quantities (the portal) than on untested HS kids.

I caught a ton of shit here when I suggested that UGA and other top programs weren't playing that game - they are telling the kids they will get it if they come, but they won't get it to come. I know it's a subtle difference, but it is different - you get here, we will make sure you get $X is way different than we will cut you a check for $X to come here. The latter appears to be what is happening here.

He needs to get his 11 million. I don’t blame him

But it sucks to have no QB. We will be like Nebraska for at least a few more years.

It's not a shit show.. Coaches leaving left and right is cool but if a player wants out of his NLI before even enrolling.. shit show..

lol you probably blame losing Peyton to money too huh?

I get a feeling we will see at least a few examples of this going forward from year to year

Other schools....errrr the schools 3rd party "collectives" meddling with a guy who signed a LOI and "persuading" him with money to try to break said LOI.

yea along with what I mentioned above, THIS is going to be a big issue as well, I get the feeling we will see a good amount of this until things level out some. Certain schools promising more than they can actually pony up, then kids getting pissed and wanting out of their LOIs

I think this is a situation where the NCAA should deny the request though. It's his own dumbass fault for falling for it.
