Tonight is my sons first tackle football game. 7th grade. He plays running back and linebacker.

Super excited, just hope I get off work in time.

For those wondering why so late, well he's always played soccer but this year said "I'm going out for football".

They have 2 squads.
A team and B team. He is the starting RB on B team. So that would make him 3rd string A team I suppose. I told him he is one injury or failing grade away from moving to A squad so be ready.

I hope he can move up. B squad games are at 530pm and A squad is 645pm. A squad would make it helluva lot easier to make the games.

I don't know what kind of job you have, but if you can adjust your schedule. Make an appointment to watch his games.

I work for UPS, driver, but I got some good news about 30min ago, my schedule is tues-sat but I got called in to cover yesterday so they gave me today off so I'll be able to make the game.

Tell them you were driving to get lunch and stopped when you saw a mysterious food truck and decided to stop.....and it didn't go well.

They lost 7-6

Hard fought game. The fumble was on the exchange in the 2nd quarter. He had a chance to score late in the 4th inside the 5yd line but a bad snap and the QB handed him the ball after the dline had broke through and tackled him for -1 yd loss.

Mom got a great video of him dragging 5 defenders for extra yards! Was awesome.

Is it A & B just for 7th grade or is that 7th & 8th grade mixed? Sorry I come from a small school that had it separated just by grade and some of the schools didn't have enough kids for middle school teams, so then the 7th grade usually played the other schools mixed team.
