Anybody here been to Jamaica before. Thinking about possibly booking a trip there in the next several months and curious if anybody has been there before and your thoughts. Good and bad.

friend of mine just went, stayed in an all inclusive...anyone I have talked to who have gone have stayed in an all inclusive

she had a good time but got COVID while there and had to stay another week before they would let her fly out. Her husband left the day they originally planned to fly out. She couldn't leave her room.

She still enjoyed herself.

what are you looking for in the vacation?

Quiet, relaxation. I just need a pool with a swim up bar basically and not party central.

definitely go for the all inclusive...I feel like most of them have all that.

I'd also look into an adult only one...much quieter.

As far as location, is Negril better than Montego Bay or vice versa?

A young man truly in love with his girlfriend decided to have her name tattooed on his penis. Her name was Wendy, and the tattoo was done while the penis was erect, so when it was not erect all you could see was W Y.

Shortly after the couple was married they were honeymooning in Jamaica the man was in a bathroom in Jamaica, and standing next to him was a Jamaican man who also had a W Y on his penis.

The American said to him "Oh is your girl named Wendy too?"

The Jamaican replied, "No, Mr. that says Welcome to Jamaica Have a Nice Day".

It's probably the murder capital of the world so I would suggest you stay on whatever resort you end up going to. As far as adults only resorts I would look for one that specializes in destination weddings. My son and his wife got married at such a resort in the Dominican Republic and there were almost 0 children running around that place.

Reminds me of pretty much the same joke but it was a sailor and when soft it read weed, but when erect it read welcome aboard.

Just sayin...

Ocho Rios

Stay at a Sandals

Stayed at a Sandals in the Bahamas once and wasn't a big fan. Too crowded and both the party pool and the quiet pool were ice cold the entire time. Plus I don't like being on a schedule while on vacation, like being told which restaurant I was eating at which night and what time.

I'll eat where I want when I want, thank you.

We stayed at a Dreams in Punta Cana. Was nice, but kids are allowed.

I've been, went to Couples resort. All inclusive, was pretty nice. As name implies you have to be part of a couple though

I would go again

Make sure it's got exceptional security. Watch out for honey traps.

We went to Ocho Rios for our honeymoon back in 2011. It was just ok. Wouldn't do it again. Look into Costa Rico

Went to Costa Rica back in November and I'd definitely go there again, but the Villa we stayed at needs a minimum of 8 people. My family and I had the entire place to ourselves overlooking the Pacific Ocean with our own chef, bartender and house keeper from 7 am to 7 pm. All inclusive.

Went there about 12 years ago. It was ok, resorts are nice, didn't go to Kingston, but drove around the towns and countryside, the only issue we had was someone trying to sell you weed every 5 feet.

Went there back in like '94...we got a "taxi van" to drive us around. That motherfucker stopped at his family's roadside knick knack stand. Holy fuck was that the most annoying shit ever. They were relentless. They would not take no for an answer, and would not let you walk away. I didn't have a pot to piss in...I ended up trading a pack and a half of Marlboro reds for some wood duck looking deal.

Oh, and EVERYTHING was touched or once owned by Bob Marley.:rolleyes2:

Them motherfuckers were literally tryna climb through the windows of the van as we were driving off. I bet we were there for an hour and a half, when you could've seen everything they had to offer in 15 minutes.
