Not only should he not have won the Heisman with his 9-3 record and padded stats against the likes of Central Alabama A&M games and going up against far more deserving candidates, but now he has opted out of his bowl game. What a ridiculous act of lack of leadership. The Heisman winner should be required to play in their bowl game, or move the date of the Heisman ceremony to AFTER January 1st. Make it the first Saturday after New Years.

Just stupid. Already a completely forgettable Heisman winner, just became more forgettable. This move to opt out of his bowl game just proves those who think he shouldn't have won it right. What a shame.

I 100% agree with the bold.

Tommie Frazier would have won the 1995 Heisman if it were voted on after bowl games.
Vince Young would have won the 2005 Heisman if it were voted on after the bowl games.

Agreed, should have gone to Penix.

He only won because the Gators defense gift wrapped the trophy.

Isn't he just coming back from an injury? If he aggravates it during a meaningless bowl game, that will fuck up his NFL draft ranking.

Get a fucking clue.

You're a quack.

He thinks Bo Nix, who really doesn't have the highest NFL aspirations, playing in a meaningless bowl vs Liberty makes him some sort of hero that we should all worship.

Well this won't be the last time we will see Jayden Daniels start in a football game.
For Nix, enjoy the moment while you can

Don’t blame the Vols, we beat the piss outta him when he played us..
