Former Tennessee football coach Jeremy Pruitt filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against the NCAA for $100 million in lost wages, claiming that the organization ‘conspired with Tennessee’ in an effort to make him a ‘sacrifical lamb’ after an investigation was launched into impermissible payments that led to his firing.

The lawsuit, filed in Dekalb County, Alabama, claims that Tennessee was already paying players before he was hired by the Vols, while also pointing out that the things he was fired for are now legal in the eyes of the NCAA.

In the suit, Pruitt claims that he told then athletic director, Phillip Fulmer that payments were already being made, and that he brought this up to Fulmer, who he claims said would handle the situation. According to the lawsuit obtained by OutKick, Pruitt says that when he was given his ‘show cause’ penalty, the NCAA had already decided that Tennessee could pay a fine that would've actually been the amount owed in severance to the former coach.

"Less than one week after being hired, Pruitt discovered that payments were being made to some players. At the time, NCAA rules precluded those payments, even though court cases had already called into serious question whether such payments could be prohibited," the complaint says.

Pruitt also states that during his time at Tennessee, people within the athletic department had solicited money from boosters to pay players, which the former coach says he was unaware that this was going on and that Tennessee intentionally hid this from Pruitt, knowing (Pruitt's) ‘willingness to report violations’ that were going on inside his program.

This is exactly why Tennesee should have done what all the other schools in the SEC have done and that is to fire the SOB and pay him something. Now all the dirty laundry is going to be aired out in discovery and if I'm Kirby Smart and Alabama I would be worried as well because the Tennessee attorneys are going to be asking about what he did at Alabama and who was involved.

Of course the NCAA doesn't have any teeth anymore so I doubt it matters but the shit talking is going to be huge and UT may have to pay at least some of the money out anyway. Interesting he filed this in Dekalb county, Alabama because those red necks aren't even going to care about the truth they are just going to want to stick it to UT.

Jeremy Pruitt is one of the worst poker players I’ve ever played against. Which is a good thing, even if it was just a one time encounter. I hope he wins. If he plays cards regularly, he’s probably broke.

Gotta love someone who calls a nit’s all in bet with a gut shot draw on the turn on a paired and double suited board and then slams the table when he didn’t catch his 4 outer on the river

I’ve met him and he is a moron and I have no idea how he got to where he did. He should be working fast food.

Although I've never met her, I feel the same way about Kelly Clarkson

All I am saying is the NCAA didn't find shit on Cam at Auburn. I live in TN and have been to Neyland several times, all of them good gameday experiences. I actually kind of pulled for them when they were in the East. But if they are this stupid, may Darwin have at it. Bless their hearts.

When they take Michigan’s tainted title away, Alabama’s titles away and Put Penn State on the death penalty then they can say something but until that time..

I’m ok with that order of events. They should get started immediately.

Texas offensive lineman Nick Brooks was arrested last weekend in Austin, Texas, for driving while intoxicated, but the details of his arrest have not been made public until now.

According to the Travis County Sheriff's office, along with an online affidavit obtained by OutKick, the 18-year-old Brooks was driving while under the influence of marijuana. He was caught going 47 mph in a 30 mph zone by the arresting officer on West 6th Street in Austin. The arresting officer said the player's eyes were bloodshot and watery.

According to the arrest report, Brooks admitted to officers that he had smoked a marijuana vape pen, along with a "blunt" before driving his vehicle. He told officers that he had smoked the pen three times, then stated it was "a good pen" and that he was also "feeling it."

During the traffic stop, the officer noted that the Texas offensive lineman was experiencing "tremors" that caused his entire body to shake. He was not under the influence of alcohol, according to the report.

Things took another interesting turn when Brooks explained the incident to the officer. The Longhorns lineman said he was coming from a club called "Play," which is a 21-and-up establishment that "made exemptions for UT [underage] football players."

Not a good look.

Are we just including all UT school problems in here now?
