Yea, I'm a little surprised none of the radio shows have bothered to mention that little nugget. Not the best start for his coaching career.

Anyone think he'll last 3 full years as the Pats' HC?
 
DEI programs are out in the NFL it appears, too.

Dropping a 4-13 season as a HC never looks good, no matter what color your skin is. A buncha white guys got fired as HC too this year, and some notably didn't even make it to the end of Week 17.

This year? I don't think so. But it's certainly happened in the past.

For something that's happened over 30 times since the merger, it seems like race-baiting to make a claim that no coach has ever been fired after a single season. Meanwhile, Marvin Lewis coached the Bengals for 16 years, had a record barely better than .500 and never won a playoff game.

The truth is that no coach's future is guaranteed in pro sports, especially in the NFL and NHL. If you suck, firing the head coach is usually seen as the best, quickest fix. The future of any coach in the NFL (except for Pittsburgh) is eventually to be fired. Even the great Bill Belichick, who won 6 Super Bowls, got canned by New England, after a 4-13 record.
 
Get me Ben Johnson or Mike Vrabel. Fuck it. Both of them. Pats back in the Super Bowl next year.

Sure it's happened in the past, few things in the NFL are happening for the first time. But please show me with a quote, and use bold if you don't mind, where I claimed that "no coach has ever been fired after a single season". I don't recall saying that or even alluding to it, so I eagerly await you showing me the comment and not just creating a new argument out of thin fucking air.

It wasn’t meant toward you, rather Jerod Mayo who has big plans, as a person-of-color of course, to finally elevate the Pats into greatness.

oh, I hadn't heard anything from Mayo since his firing. I know he was somehow calling his own hiring racist, but he seems like a pretty big idiot so not surprised.

He's letting that woke segment of the sports press do it for him. Stephen A. Smith, Keith Reed, etc. The NFL is being cautious due to not wanting another Brian Flores situation, but it's pretty clear that SJWs won't stop targeting the NFL. More than a few times, they've revealed their hand in, "It's a black league, give us black HCs, give us black owners" type statements.
