I was trying to tell my kids last night how Notre Dame was the undisputed top dawg of College history for most of the past 100 years, but had fallen off a bit in recent times. It's funny kids don't really know who Notre Dame or Nebraska is in a championship sense.

2. Oklahoma- 453.1

As you can see, Notre Dame was the King of College Football up through about 1984… Oklahoma held the top spot for a few seasons after their ‘85 title… but Notre Dame regained it with the ‘88 title and held onto it until Oklahoma passed them again with their 2000 title.

What do the numbers represent? I am assuming some kind of scoring but the method/system is not laid out.
