Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) will return in Glass Onion, the sequel to the original Knives Out, but the rest of the cast will be new as Blanc investigates a new mystery. Glass Onion is slated for release on Friday, December 23, 2022, on Netflix. Teaser trailer:

This was pretty good. I enjoyed the first one a bit better but both are good, entertaining movies. Glass Onion is a bit over the top and extravagant (intentional because of the plot) which is why I like the rather simplistic nature of Knives Out better, but both are well done. I hope Benoit Blanc movies become a thing. These are fun.

Just as tedious and try hard and empty as the first. And now with poor blocking, timing, etc. And a nice thirty minute flashback exposition dump in the middle of the movie. Even the sound production is terrible. ugh.

We watched this last night. My wife had not seen the first movie so we watched that one before. I prefer the first movie but this was still good. I hope they keep making these

I thought it was going to be a mystery that we (as an audience) was going to have to pay close attention to if we wanted to discover it before it was revealed... turned out that they just straight up told what was going on through the whole movie. Big let down. Plus the writing of the characters wasn't very good. It did have nice cinematography and the actors did a good job, Craig is excellent in this role. 5/10.
What was with Ethan Hawkes 2 minute cameo? lol

It was part of a running joke of cameos throughout the movie: Yo-Yo Ma, Anthony Fauci, Stephen Sondheim, Natasha Lyonne, Angela Lansbury, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Hugh Grant, Serena Williams.

Does it matter if you've seen the first?

I thought the first one drug on too long so this second one I enjoyed more. Don't need to watch it again, it was pretty formulaic. I would prefer it if there was a way for you to see the massive twists coming instead of inventing and announcing them. If you can't go back and think through the movie and see where you missed the hints to the twist, the movie failed.

I'd give it a 5 because it was entertaining and didn't drag out. I'd like to see more of Whiskey, fo sho.
