Knox Kiffin Shuns Bama

Sorry -- I had to laugh from that last line where you said, they "probably are better than UT". Alabama has finished 5, 2, 1, 7, 2, 1, 2, 1, 4, 7, 1, 1, 10, 1, 6, in the last 15 years. Last year, when you talk how Bama didn't deliver -- they finished 5th in nation in the final poll.

There is no probably -- Until proven otherwise -- it will always be Bama and now Georgia at the top of the heap. The fact Bama pulled in the recruiting class they just did should tell you, they aren't going anywhere.h

And in case you missed it. Teams like Bama, like Georgia, like Ohio State are losing elite NFL talent every year. They don't drop at all in their level of play, because they have top recruits waiting in the wings. Georgia lost almost their entire defense from their 1st national title, they repeated. Ohio State lost not one, but two 1st round NFL WR's in Olave and Garrett Wilson -- then they lost the #1 WR in CFB the 1st game -- they STILL had the best WR group in college football.

Who is the team you see winning a title next year? Ohio State with a brand new QB? Clemson without Myles Murphy and Bryan Bresee and a new QB? Who will it be? FSU? LSU? USC with their defense is optional approach?
you keep going by history.. what makes them clearly the favorite this season along with UGA in the SEC? You say teams lose talent but drop their level of play.. Did Bama drop their level a play a year ago? Did the vaunted defense experts were talking about last summer deliver? Or did they get lit up?

LSU won the West over them a year ago.. and they have a QB returning. TN beat them a year ago.. and yes they have a different QB, but he looks like he can sling it deep where last years Bama defense struggled.

I'm not talking about tOSU... I'm talking Bama because they are in a much more competitive conference..IMO.

I have no idea who will be favorite to win the championship next season.. but have you seen Jalen Milroe? Have you seen Ty Simpson? There was a reason why Nick tried his best to grab the QB from UNC last month...

LSU is losing it's #1 WR, both of their DE's, their best DT and they have to go to Alabama to play them this upcoming year. Tennessee loses, not only Hendon Hooker, they lose Jalen Hyatt (who had 200 yards and 5 tds against Bama), they lose Cedric Tillman (who was their #1 WR), they are losing their best OL Darnell Wright and their best DL in Byron Young. They, too, will have to go to Bama to play them.

That said -- I asked you to name me who you'd take over Georgia and Bama to win a national title. Noticed you didn't name one.

Bro why are you bringing up the national title when in your own words you said the SEC with UGA.. I said they finished behind both LSU and TN.. that's two teams that I would think have a better chance of finishing ahead of Bama this season.

LSU brings back it's QB plus Nabors along with it's OL.. like i'd take that over Bama's defense.. and even if they are new on the defensive side.. who at Bama is scaring them? ESPECIALLY without Gibbs and Young?

TN has to replace their 2 WRs that are now heading into the draft.. but they got a deep target through the portal.. defense is also a work in progress but I'd still take them over bama because of how unknown the offense for Bama will be. TN struggled through the air IIRC.. something Bama has a lot of proving it can do without Bryce

I also think the game with aggy will be tough.. Don't have faith in Kelly but I am a believer in Weigman as long as he's healthy and they too have the skill players to hurt Bama.. defensively, their DL is good.. question marks at LB and in the secondary.. but I think they get the upset at home

Nowhere did I say I was talking about the SEC. I'm talking national title. I'd take Georgia and Bama right now and feel comfortable one or both end up in the game next year.

If we are talking just the SEC -- it is an absolute no brainer. I'd take Georgia and Bama all day. Bama lost two games -- both on last second plays. Both teams they lost to have to go to Alabama to play.

Tennessee beat Bama because one play and two players -- Hendon Hooker and Jalen Hyatt. They ran the same play, isolating Hyatt on a safety and beat them OVER AND OVER with it. What Tennessee doesn't have is Hooker or Hyatt returning. Joe Milton is not even in the same stratosphere and Hooker, especially if he has to deal with pressure and Hyatt is a 4.3 WR who will be a 1st round NFL pick -- something you don't just replace, unless you are Ohio State.

LSU has Brian Kelly -- no chance I'm picking them to beat Bama on the road. As far as who Bama has to scare them? I couldn't even tell you who Bama has returning or starting for them. I can say without hesitation, Bama has been dominant for so long and recruiting at such a ridiculous level, that it doesn't matter. They will still be more talented than pretty much every team they face, sans Georgia right now.

With A&M -- they are a dumpster fire. They get up for one game and one game only every year. It is Bama. The rest of the time, they are mediocre at best. So could they upset Bama? Sure. They will lose 3 or 4 other games, so it won't matter.

See that's where we differ, everyone thought they were a shoe in for the SEC CCG a season ago and didn't make it. You are assuming based on Saban track record, he'll have them in there this season.. I say good luck with the QB and the WR he continues to miss on since 2021.. Even he knows this which is why he hires Rees who ran the ball 60% of the time? Or something close to that.

I'm looking forward to my visit there in September, think UT takes them at home too

So Tennessee isn't winning, as they lost their QB and top two WR's. Georgia isn't winning anything since they lost their QB and at least one WR and a TE, not to mention multiple 1st round picks off their defense AGAIN. Ohio State isn't winning anything because they lost their QB. Clemson isn't winning anything as they lost their QB, not to mention two top 15 NFL picks off their defense. Who else am I missing?

Which QB has Saban missed on? Jalen Hurts? Tua Tagoalavai? Bryce Young?

We have fans like you at Michigan too. Those who have the blinders on. Let me guess -- you think Texas is going to win SEC titles once you switch conferences, right? Even though you couldn't win a Big 12 title in like 15 years. I think Texas and Oklahoma are going to be for a rude awakening when they see the stark differences in the SEC and Big 12

As far as Texas beating Alabama next year in Tuscaloosa -- I wouldn't hold your breathe. Ewers completed just over 55% of his passes in road games last year. You aren't beating Alabama when your QB struggles on the road and when you lost the two guys who'd make life easier -- both NFL caliber RB's who left for the draft.

lol bro c'mon.. when Jalen got benched who was the guy? Tua.. and he showed out right? When Mac Jones took over.. guess what he had all around him? Bryce has had one true receiver.. who got hurt in the CFP final.. his WRs struggled all last season.. his only true elite piece was his RB Gibbs. We SEEN Milore.. we know he's trash.. I bet you the Bama fans are clamoring for Simpson because they rather go with the uncertain guy than knowing what they will see with Milroe.

Funny how the talent at QB has changed from when Kiffin and Sark were running the offense there.. hell you can say the same thing with the WR too.. But sure man.. Saban still has it and Milroe/Simpson gonna kill it..

Again TN QB looks legit.. more than Milroe ever looked, and I trust Heupel more than Rees.. They will put points up on them, again.

BTW why do you keep bringing in my longhorns so much? Don't worry you can see your Michigan team play them Next year ('24) in Austin.

I'm willing to bet that Ewers has a much better season in year 2 than one.. He'll also have better WRs than he had a season ago.. an OL that returns EVERYONE.. including an OT than kept big bad Will Anderson in check (and Dallas Turner) as a true freshman in his 2nd start. Yes we lose Bijan who was a huge key.. but the RB room isn't chopped liver. Who knows.. maybe a correct call here or there will balance out the return of Bryce Young aka Jalen Milroe lol...

You mean, the Mac Jones, who was a top 10 pick in the NFL draft and who is starting for the NE Patriots? Jalen Hurts who will be starting QB for the Eagles. Tua, who was a top 5 pick and the starting QB for the Dolphins. Bryce Young, who will likely be the #1 pick in the NFL draft.

And just so I have this right -- Milroe is trash after two games and won't get better, but Ewers will be better after being trash for almost an entire season. Also -- They have Ty Simpson who was a 5 star recruit, as well as two of the top 10 QB's in the class of 2023.

I will give you a hint on the Tennessee QB, WHO WAS MICHIGAN'S STARTING QB, before getting benched and transferring. His name is Joe Milton. In high school, he completed 48% of his passes over 4 years. As long as he plays a team who plays off WR's and he can throw quick outs and slants -- he is great. If you mix coverages and pressure him -- he is ATROCIOUS. He has a NFL body, NFL arm and no touch or accuracy downfield. He will look good against weaker teams as he did at Michigan and look horrible against any defense with talent.

That being said -- Joe Milton has a better chance of being legit than Texas does of beating Bama in Tuscaloosa.

oh, we will see... Like I said I'll be there.. you coming down to Austin next year? Gonna get waxed by Arch

Personally -- I think Arch is only rated as high as he is because of his last name. I could be wrong, but I watched him twice and both times his team was blown out when they played a school with any talent and he looked terrible. Hell -- even his final game in high school he was blown out and I think the only TD pass he had was a pick six the guy ran back 100 yards.

Of course he has the Manning genetics and couldn't ask for better family members around him to help him succeed, but he looked overwhelmed in the two games I watched and they lost 49-7 in the one game.

As far as Michigan -- I'm not delusional. Michigan needs the stars to align for a chance to ever win a title again. We simply don't recruit like the top schools. This upcoming year, they have a chance to be really good, but I still wouldn't pick them to win a title. When we go to Austin next year -- we will look nothing like the team we have had the past couple years -- McCarthy will be gone at QB, Corum and Edwards will be gone to the NFL, we will lose our entire OL. So I couldn't even tell you what Michigan will look like in 2024. I don't even know who our QB will be.

a lot of words to say..UM is gonna get bent by 5 star last name, Arch...

It is possible, but I'm just not sold on Manning. With everything Michigan will lose after 2023 -- you won't even need Manning.

A missed opportunity.
Well, as of now. We’ll see what happens when he becomes a senior. Because his last name is Kicfin, I’m sure Alabama is the black ball. I would think that anywhere that Lane is coaching is where he’ll be playing.
