I am heading to the Delaware beach for the weekend after work today. One last local summer trip!

started pinning down all the details for Italy at the end of the month...restaurants are getting reserved and tickets purchased to see all the Roman things.

morning everyone.

Got an assignment at work I don't fully know how I'll do yet, I can do the first part easy enough, second part I'll need help
 
Minus 24 hours and the step daughter is out of my house

Looks like my next big trip planning is going to require me to find a new pet sitter. My in-laws used to do it, but I'm not sure they're capable of doing it anymore. MIL can hardly walk and is waiting for a knee replacement in December. FIL isn't much better. It's crazy to see the rapid decline of 2 retired folks that do absolutely nothing. MIL fell on my porch steps the last time we went away, so it's time to find somebody else. We've made the job pretty easy for whoever we find... auto-feeder, litter robot, water fountain, so really it's just a well check. Cushy job if you ask me, but I just hate somebody I don't know in my house.

I have a couple who I go to, including a family down the street with 5 boys and a Great Pyrenees that Caj loves playing with. They are cheap as hell too.

shouldn't be a tough to find service, and I'd ask my neighbor in a pinch since I used to watch their dog when they were away, but I know the wife is allergic to cats so I wouldn't want to ask her to do it too often.

dogs is a little more complicated, we use an app and pay for someone to stay at our house and stay with dogs, mostly good experience

we did have one couple that left our house bit messy and left behind a pair of boxers, so that was annoying

I have Mahomes and Laporta starting in FF, so it’s going to be a wild night regardless.

I always hated it when my neighbors left me with their dog during 4th of July because that fucker HATED fireworks. Big white english bulldog shivering like a leaf in the corner and I'm supposed to somehow get him outside to piss/shit. I'd just sit on the couch and hug him until the booms stopped. Thunderstorms would set him off too... to the point where even if it was drizzling he didn't want to go out for fear of thunder.

I once had a dog so afraid of thunderstorms we had to give her tranquilizers during bad ones. The damn thing was in a coma most springs and summers.
 
Work blocked my account because of "suspicious activity". Hoping for an extra day off, but I assume that IT will have it fixed in a bit.
