Mel Tucker - seems to be off the board was on paper was a great fit.

Lincoln Riley - I just don’t live in a universe where I think this will happen.

Jimbo Fisher - They can’t pay more than aTm and at this point Jimbo has a job for life because he will be 65 when his contract ends. Why bother going through the hassle of moving. aTm loves him and he doesn’t actually have to win anything.

James Franklin - stock is in a nose dive. Does any major program want to risk it?

Billy Napier - I like the guy but does LSU hire the U of L coach?

Dave Aranda - This seems like the hire to make now. If Mel Tucker is off the market it makes the most sense.

Matt Campbell - Taking a hit this year but he would be better than the Les Miles hire.

Who else is in the table?

I’m thinkin Dave Doeren and Dave Clawson should get some consideration. Both are a little underrated IMO and might shine at a place like LSU.
And of course I have said all along Terry Bowden

Dave Doeren isn't a good coach + Dave Clawson's offense is unique and would probably turn LSU off

I agree with @Hitman Hart and would hate everyone you listed if I was an LSU fan. As an Auburn fan I want to hire you as the LSU AD.
 
Am I the only one that would go and see if Matt Ruhl is happy where he is ???

Charlotte with no recruiting responsibilities verses Baton Rouge and having to play an SEC schedule.

You guys grossly over look how low the bar is to make the NFL playoffs and make people happy.

Auburn fans hated Gene Chizik when they hired him too and…. Natty.
These schools need smart people like me guiding them to greatness but now… I don’t come cheap.

Doeren is a good coach, his record speaks for itself and that’s at a basketball school.

he's 8 games below .500 in ACC play and is 1-4 in his last five games against the smallest P5 school. His record does speak for itself and it says mediocrity.

Incorrect. His ACC winning percentage is on par with Chuck Amato and Tom O'Brien. Amato and O'Brien were both fired. His ACC winning percentage is worse than Mike O'Cain (also fired) and Dick Sheridan (retired)

He's not good, he's nothing more than average. and he's probably a bit worse than that.

I disagree. Aranda was handed a program in good shape and Tucker took a cluster and won with duck tape and sheer will.

Much more impressed with what Tucker has done.
