Lindor to the Mets

Shipped Carrasco off to...not surprised by the cheap as Dolan

I'm sure Wolf will turn into the next Scherzer now

Wolf is the only guy I half expect to be decent out of this trade. Only due to our recent track record of developing pitchers.

The OF prospect sounds like Trevor Crowe 2.0 "he can run" and play good defense but is super limited with the bat.

Rosario cant hit for contact/draw walks and has like maybe 12-15 HR power.

Giminez is yet to prove he can be any good offensively above the A ball level.

Basically they got 2 very long term project prospects (who barely if cracked the Mets organizational top 10) and 2 IF who cant hit.

Well, the Indians just doomed Lindor to a disappointing rest of his career

I hope he succeeds that way there is no way our hack garbage ownership can spin this as a "we saw the writing on the wall of Lindor declining" type deal.

All those position player prospects they acquired don't sound too intriguing. I thought Lindor was going to fetch a couple "all-star" level potential talents. I know he didn't have a great 2020 short year but this is bad.

Seriously, he’s one of my favorite younger players. Hate to see him shipped off to a shit organization.

They kind of screwed themselves in leverage with Lindor, but there was no reason to throw Carrassco into this deal. Who could they have possibly seen here and say "Yea we need to include a legit MLB starter to make sure they send that guy too"

The timing is also awful. The market is basically dead right now. They almost surely could have gotten a better hall closer to the trading deadline when teams would be more willing/desperate.

Amed Rosario + 3 prospects for Lindor / Carrasco? How is this deal even allowed?

Cheap asses. They had Carrasco for 3 more years at around $13M per year. Not a bad contract at all. The Indians will never be TRUE contenders until these fucks stop ruining the franchise.

The Cleveland Indians now have the lowest projected payroll in Major League Baseball at est. $40M, according to @JasonRRMartinez. Pirates are next lowest at est. $47M.

This is pathetic. The Dolans need to sell the team.

Yea but they swear they will "re-invest" the money saved in the team

Meaning they will sign 2 late 30s washed up OFs and 4 or 5 RP with more appearances than innings and ERAs over 5 to cheap 1 year deals and call it "quality use of money"

This is good news for the Tigers, but I was kinda hoping that Lindor was going to be a lifetime player for the Indians. I really like the kid ... 2nd best player in baseball (after Mike Trout).
