They should have never left the Big12 and should have stuck with the old style option offense. They don't have the athletes to win playing a pro-style or passing offense.

I some-what disagree. They left the Big 12 at a good time. I think B1G was and still is the most fitting for them across all the sports.
I do agree with your option offense statement. I always found it interesting how for a long time, they were trying to find the next Tom Osborne, but hired Bill Callahan because he was going to change up the offense. They have a coach that won a NC as an option QB. They have had QBs recently that could pull off the option.
