Oklahoma and USC are both rolling right now. Looks like the change helped both schools.

But is he quietly building a mustard and ketchup beast?

USC went all in on a dude notorious for shitting the bed in big games. They’re gonna regret that hire
I'm not sold on him yet, but will they really regret it if he at least improves the team to what he had at Oklahoma? They may have shit the bed in the playoffs, but he was at least getting them there. Which is a major improvement compared to majority of the Clay Helton/Sarkisian/Orgeron/Kiffin years.

With that said, I'm not willing to say they are close to that yet.

If a program and fanbase are satisfied with losing in the first round of the playoffs, they lose blue blood status IMO.

I’m not sure USC has a real enough fan base for them to really care

But also, Riley regressed every year he was at Oklahoma. The farther he got removed from Stoops, the worse his teams did

Meh. There's room in between regret and satisfied.

bruh they have collectively played UTEP, Kent State, Nebraska, Rice, Stanford and Fresno State

OK played Tulane, W Carolina and Nebraska last year to the same results

But at least Kiffin is the best coach in his state.
