first episode was this last Sunday and it is getting reviews similar to what Watchmen was getting, which I loved.

I will likely check it out tonight.

Anyone watch yet?
 
Great first episode. Terrifying in more ways than one.
 
decent first episode. could do without the over the top ploy to play up the racism of the period but would watch again.
anyone read the book??
 
No interest in watching it because I know it's going to be something where they are just shoving race related shit down your throat the whole time.

Not a safe space, not demanding HBO remove the series so I don't see it show up on HBO Max. Just don't have any interest in watching the race baiting garbage that I know it is with Jordan Peele leading it.

I have never had any issue with someone putting a mirror in front of me. I'm beautiful and I know it.

It's not discomfort. It's just preference and complete lack of interest of something I can tell is going to be heavy handed with shoving race down your throat. Based on the posts in this thread doesn't seem I was wrong.

fell asleep at the end of last night's episode, so I need to go back and rewatch that...but the weirdness is increasing in this place.

Big fan of the Lovecraft mythology.

I got rather bored in the 2nd episode.
The trip to the town seemed disjointed and it took them an awfully long time to walk back.

There's definitely potential, but there's something missing for me right now.
 
looks like last night took a turn towards horror with a kind of new storyline... I am a little confused and only watched a little of it.
 
Each episode almost feels like it's only short film in ways.

Also, I'm not into horror films at all, but I enjoy just how much of that feel Peele is giving us.
