Garza has outscored Iowas last 2 opponents in the first half by himself

He would be the 4th leading scorer in CBB if he hadn't played a minute in the second half all year

As good as he was last year he's substantially better this year. We could be in for something historical this year

NC Central/ 97-67, KenPom rated #291
Southern U/ 103-76, KenPom rated #266
W. Illinois/ 99-58, KenPom rated #346

Ken Pomeroy rates 357 Division I schools.

Look, I know you like Garza. Hell, I like Garza. But given the opponents so far for Iowa I'd say they should be beating the shit up on these guys. And he should be averaging a double/double in the first half at the very least. He's talented, but let's get thru some stronger opponents before you have a Garza-gasm.

Duke didn't lose to an under Top 10 SEED. They lost a game against Michigan State. I don't believe they are a below Top 10 SEED. They are ranked TOP 10. Or did you miss that?

He destroyed the best conference in cbb last year and is better this year.

Very little. You spoke of opponents implying he is overrated. Then you spoke of a team not losing to a top 10 ranked team. Then I brought up Duke losing to not only below top 10 teams but teams not even close to being top 10 SEEDS.

I never implied anything about him being "over rated" in the least. What I did was point out that the opponents he's faced means he is supposed to be getting double doubles. I want to see him face B1G teams and see if he averages a double double again and again. That's it. You brought up the tournament and seeding and Duke. I never brought anything up about them. You're the one that posted about Duke.

So what about them? What does that have to do with Garza? And be specific. If Duke is over rated, then are you talking about right now or when they played Mercer or Lehigh? And if so, what does that have to do with what I posted?

Last year what conference was good, better, or best is subjective. I'm looking at how good he will be when he plays somebody ranked in the Top 20 Ken Pomeroy rankings. What he's doing is exceptional. But isn't he supposed to be doing that against these teams? That's all I'm asking.

Is he supposed to be scoring 28 ppg and getting 9 rpg in the first half and outscoring teams in the first half by himself? I didn't expect that even with how great he was last year. Its easy to point to competition but if it were that easy lots of guys would be doing it as lots of teams haven't played anyone yet lol

Last year against KenPom's Top 20 defenses, he avg 21.4 ppg. Also, I do think the B1G was the best conference last year. 11 of KenPom's top 30 teams were from the B1G.

Everybody has an opinion on what "Best Conference" means. I've got one too. Top to bottom the B1G was deeper than the ACC last year. The ACC was top heavy with ranked teams. We'll never know since last year was speculative. At some point if you're the "Best Conference" you should win Titles. The B1G hasn't won one since 2000 MSU. In that same span the ACC has won eight. It depends on what "Best Conference" means. That has to be what "Best Conference" means at some point. Generating titles is the epitome of "Best".
