I went to the Loyola (Chicago) Ramblers @ Drake Bulldogs game today.

The Bulldogs won 77-68.

Had a full house @ Knapp Center for the UNI @ Drake game tonight.

Both teams broke half a hundred-*, and the Panthers won in OT 74-69.

*-Poking fun @ Iowa State

I watched the Drake Bulldogs hold off the Southern Illinois Salukis 62-60 today. Big crowd on Senior Day.

Disappointed the Ramblers couldn't bring another MVC regular season title home as a last hurrah in the league. Oh well.

Great football conference. Basketball?

Missouri valley dropped football back in the 80's.
Youre thinking of the Gateway Conference ( which UNI used to be in with most of the same teams that are in the MVC for football nowv)

That said the MVC is a dope bball league . Lots of historically good basketball schools. So im not sure what hes talking about lol

You're not sure the mvc is better at football than basketball?

The MVC and the MVFC are technically 2 separate conferences. They have different (although some same) teams and different commissioners. The MVFC used to be called the Gateway, but changed it's name in the 80s.

Its not

FCS football means shit

2 MVC bball teams have made Final 4s the last decade

Both are wayyyy wayyy more impressive than NDSU winning the next 50 FCS scrub titles

I know the metrics will not back this up, but UNI, Loyola and Drake would all be good teams in the NCAA Tournament with a chance to win a game or two. As it is, I assume only the Arch Madness Champion will get an invite.

Loyola has a shot at an at large but its not a lock

Yep. Especially with their recent history.

Drake swept Loyola and won at UNI, but they have no shot.
Bummer too, as they do have a solid team.

I'd rather see a good MVC team make it as an at-large than a bottom half team from a major conference (including ISU in that statement).
