Admitted….I walked in today and the Mrs had just started watching this. I had heard nothing about this and wasn’t sure what it was.
By about 4 episodes in I was hooked. This is a very real show with believable characters and a plot based in reality. They also do an amazing job highlighting the hell that is bi-polar.
Margaret Qualley (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) has been a promising talent from what I’ve seen….but she delivers all of it here. And Andie McDowell….Margaret’s actual mom….playing the characters mom is the best I’ve ever seen her. She plays a very complicated woman severely struggling with bi-polarity.
If you enjoy a plot that sticks to what the real world is like, as well as a redeeming protagonist you want to see succeed you could enjoy this.
Plus, it’s a super good watch with a Mrs. We were both into it strongly and binged the whole season today.
