It is tough to judge any QB in year 1, especially QB's who have little to no help at all or end up on teams with terrible OL play. Peyton Manning threw 28 int's his rookie year.

That being said -- as a Lions fan, if they get the #1 pick -- I hope they take the DE from Oregon and not a QB as none of the QB's look deserving of the #1 pick that are draft eligible.

Hurts isn’t awful and I wouldn’t waste a draft pick to replace him in this draft. If the Eagles had sense they build around the QB position and wait for the right draft to make a move.

I’d take Hurts over Tua.

McShay said on ESPN’s Get Up this week that Willis is someone, “who has emerged as the No. 1 clear cut quarterback in this year’s class, coming out of Liberty, I think they have to make that pick. He’s a bigger, mobile version. … I think he creates more and he’s more dynamic throwing the ball on the run, and throwing the ball down the field than Hurts has been in his first couple of years with the Eagles.”


I was shocked when I saw this as I don't remember him being all that impressive at Auburn but I haven't seen him play at Liberty. So is this BS or has Malik come into his own and Malzahn shit the bed on QB evaluation?

I agree 100% though I don't have any confidence in hurts. Don't force the qb pick.
 
I agree that the Eagles shouldnt bother trying to draft yet another qb this upcoming draft, but yes, Hurts absolutely is terrible. He is a very poor pro quarterback
