morning

lawn should be dry by this afternoon, so that bitch is getting mowed...also need to go to the dump, maybe get a haircut.

I have an early tennis match tomorrow then having friends over tomorrow afternoon...going to get the tennis ball machine out and let the kids take some batting practice in the backyard.

My mower took a shit on me after cutting the perimeter of my yard a couple weeks ago. I figured to get a new one the next day. Grass was already over grown.

Rained for 4 straight days after. It was a fucking jungle.

Not sure what we're up to Sunday yet. Too cool for swimming at the beach. Tomorrow is Ham's baseball game, then dinner at the in-laws. Monday is the parade, and my brother-in-law wants to smoke a pork shoulder. Might go through my freezer and figure out if there's something I want to toss on the smoker on Sunday.

Welp, our offer was accepted on a new house a few days ago and we accepted an offer on our house yesterday. That happened fast.

Think I'll breakdown and go purchase the electric push mower. The gas one isn't fully functional yet and tired of using my dad's rider & trying to see who is using it when. My brother has been using it for his yard too. Not sure why he isn't using his utility tractor with mower deck but Im not asking.

I bought a Ryobi last season and I like it a lot. No issues.

Im sure I'll get shit for buying one from my family & hers. Just doesn't seem worth it to have a gas one anymore. The hassle of prepping it for winter & etc.
the maintenance on the electric is minimal. I will likely get the blade sharpened after this season, but I really like the build on the mower...and it being all plastic hasn't bothered me.

Minimal maintenance is the key for my lifestyle. Thought about getting a cheep reel mower as more of an exercise component for the stepkids as well.

I didn't mind the battery powered one I had years ago. Most of the time, I was able to get the yard done on one charge. Sometimes when the grass got long, I'd have to recharge the mower to finish the back yard. But this was a mower I bought at least 10 years ago, and the swappable batteries were an expensive upgrade at the time. I have my dad's old gas mower for the time being, whenever I decide to replace it I will get a battery one.

mine has 2 batteries, so I can swap without any kind of issue.
