I'll be honest, up until this past season I haven't followed much of baseball through the entire season, besides the 90s when I followed as a kid this past season was the most invested I have ever been in the MLB. With that said, I am shocked at how little turnover there is with the managers of teams. Is this normal? Do teams fire their managers starting after the World Series?

Otherwise there has so far only been, Mets, Padres, Cardinals, and now A's because their manager took the Padres job. From following NBA, NFL, CFB, and CBB, I am use to coaches getting canned or moving on very frequently. Yet here we are in November and there hasn't been that much movement in MLB. I mean, if the Orioles, Rockies, Phillies, Twins, D-Backs, were an NFL team or NBA team, their coaches would have been fired weeks ago.

So I guess my question is, are MLB teams much more patient then other sports with their coaches? Is this all the movement we will see this offseason or will there be more openings soon?

I do think most MLB teams do give managers more time than other pro sports do, usually 2-3 years it seems unless either results are catastrophic, or other issues (off the field), or the manager takes another job.
It also kind of goes in cycles. There was a lot of change up in the in 2019 and 2020. Gone are the days of guys like George Steinbrenner hiring and firing managers seemingly every 5 minutes.
