Are you ready for some Wednesday Night Football? No? Too fucking bad, because tonight, the channel that brought you the greatness of Bishop Sycamore is at it again, this time with college teams that appear to be legitimate and they're playing in a town known for being where they buried Hank Williams' body. With credentials like these, this should be the mother of all games.
Bill Clark returns as UAB's head coach and he should. He was so committed to this team, he continued on as head coach during a time where there was no team to coach. After going 6-3 in the Covid Special, another C-USA Championship, and a trip to the Canceled Bowl, the Blazers just want things to be normal, but still good again.
Jacksonville State, best known as being D1's other Gamecocks team has left the Ohio Valley where they were Conference Champions and take their talents to the newly revamped/not your father's Western Athletic. They're the FCS team and apparently the home team for this matchup and are led by head coach John Grass who looks to smoke the Blazers and make a major statement to start the season.
All of this excitement plus a halftime that talks about teams other than these two starts tonight at 7:30pm Eastern on ESPN.
