The former NFL star and current CU coach said the following about the shift in attitude at Colorado after hauling in a solid recruiting class, according to On3.com.

"Our attitudes. Everyone in this building has a commitment to excellence, everyone in this building is on a team, everyone is building the blocks and you stand on your mark. They’re ready to go. Everyone has a different pep in their step about them, every one. They see it. They see that you know, it can really happen. Hope has been reestablished. I truly believe, I think, it’s been there but sometimes you just need that light, that switch of hope. Hope is in the house, hope is in the air, hope is in a city, hope is in the community hope is within you all. And you want to write good stuff and you don’t want to write bad stuff. You want to write good stuff." - Deion Sanders

Colorado just inked its best recruiting class in at least a decade, and for the first time in a long time, it feels like the Buffaloes will be competitive.

Deion Sanders is responsible for the turnaround, and when he says “hope is in the house,” he’s not kidding.

Only a fool would underestimate Deion Sanders at this point.

@HammerDown lets hear your rebuttal.

I wish Georgia would schedule a home and home for when Colorado will be at their peak just to show em they’ll never be anything more than a Missouri type team

Colorado will go 3-9 next year.

sorry. they will be deflated at their first "home" game next year getting blown out in front of the sea of red

This ain’t their peak year and Deion will probably be at another school before they reach. Like 3 years from now when the team is full of Deion’s players is when I wanna give em a reality check like TCU got this year

He might have them doing OK right in time for the Pac12 to turn into a G5 conference as USC and UCLA leave. Then he'll try and get a major conference job in the B10 or SEC.

who here expects Deion to be in Colorado in 3 years?

This dude is gonna be President.

And your life is gonna be better for it. Even you incels and adult fraternity members might get laid. There’s hope for all, thanks to Prime.

He will replace Saban

He was at Jackson State for 3 years before Colorado so unless he quits coaching altogether I think he will be there. I don't really see a bigger job opportunity coming his way until he proves himself at Colorado. With the talent, he brought in you have to think the Buffs improve so they should be happy and not looking to ditch him.

Now if he just gets sick of it and goes back to TV or something that is another thing altogether but I think he likes it.

That is going to be one of the hardest legacies to follow probably in history. On one hand, they should be loaded but on the other, the expectation is natty or bust. I don't think the top guys are going to be falling all over themselves to be compared to Saban the rest of their lives.

How did the guys that followed Bear do? I'd imagine it would be similar

How's the school's GoFundMe going? The one to pay for "Neon Deion's" salary??? :rolleyes2:

Asking for a friend... :pop2::martini:

Maintaining that is damn near impossible. There's typically one team that dominates a decade and then goes away, and often times in really dramatic fashion. Think of Nebraska/Miami in the 90's, then USC in the 2000's....is Alabama next?

He's gonna be the next coach in Austin

You're surprised about a monumental attitude shift when the most self-absorbed athlete of our lifetime is bringing this to Boulder? lol (see video below)

May God have mercy on Boulder, Colorado. Deion is going to destroy what is left of that program.

Perkins was pretty much universally hated.
Bill Curry who they threw bricks through his windows
Gene Stalling won a national championship but it wasn't enough and they ran him off then you had:
Mike DuBose
Dennis Franchione
Mike Price
Mike Shula

All of the above were constantly being compared to Bear Bryant. In fact that best thing about Saban is that you really don't hear them talking about Bryant anymore which is kinda nice.
