Neal Brown

He’s done a good job at Jax State, and personally I think he’d be a lot of fun in the Big12 regardless of where he’d coach. The biggest obstacle imo is unity among the base.
When ya make a new hire the hope is that while you will never make everyone happy the move will charge up the vast majority of your fanbase and get everyone on board. Rodriquez would still rub a lot of the base the wrong way (silly imo, what happened happened) and if/when he struggles early on which is almost a given as it’s going to be a rebuild for whoever gets the gig, things could go south in a hurry as far as fan morale and haters just waiting to pounce.
Ideally he’d line up/ have a good working relationship with Baker and the new president but I have no idea what that situation is like.
End of the day, if the people who stroke the big checks want him, they’ll hire him.
While hiring him would rub a ton a salt in a lot of folks unsealed wounds, the minute he got the thing turned around (if that actually happens) many would forgive. I think another factor being overlooked is if an up and comer comes along and has success, he’ll likely bolt for and SEC/B1G job. I truly don’t think Rod would do that again after what happened last time. Maybe that’s just hope though. And you are absolutely right, the people that write the checks (Kendrick’s) seem to want him so it’ll be him.

Bring back Rich-Rod?

That would be a good move IMO.
If that’s what the big money wants and it seems like they do then that’ll happen.

Agree with all that

I agree.

Rich Rod is 61 and would retire at WVU. No chance he would bolt again IMO. Not after failing at Michigan and Arizona and ending up at Jax State where he has done a great job.

If he managed to get WVU where they were when he left WV? He'd become a coaching icon and legend at WVU.

32-5 (his last 3 seasons at WVU) is pretty damn good whomever you are.
