I hadn't been paying attention, I just read about this new playoff system.

One division winner ends up playing a wild card team in a 3 game series while the other division winners get a bye.
The other 2 wild card winners also play a 3 game series.

So if you have the 3rd best record among division winners you're essentially a wild card team.

MLB has become just as goofy as the NBA, NA$CAR, and the other everyone gets in the playoff leagues.

Nonsense.
 
This is the same sport that glorified a shitty player just because he showed up to work every night. I wish my job would do that for me.

Ortiz has the voters’ protein goo dribbling down his chin. That’s why he is in. Bonds and Clemens didn’t participate in that activity, so they are evil and ruined the game.

the whole concept of "first ballot" is dumb. you should either vote for players you think deserve to be in or not.
