I have heard that teams were talking with his legal team doing their due diligence, but seems weird to me that a legal team would be talking to any of them. I mean if he is going to have criminal charges against him. Why would a legal team talk to these teams about it?

Whatever happens whoever is trading for him is taking a huge chance.

I’m doubtful it will be either of those scenarios. But, a first could certainly be in there. Of course….the Dolphins get the most buzz in getting him, and they don’t have a 2022 1st to give.

Someone else has that….and at least one other first. I’m not sure how I feel about that at this point……

Who else would have interest to drive this price up?

Texans can’t trade for him, so I don’t see a landing spot.

I knew there had to be at least one more team. Panthers make sense MO wise. They have been showing signs they want to compete now, only Darnold hasn’t gotten the memo (losing CMC doesn’t help any of this).

Capital wise they are a little hobbled. They do have a first next year, but after that nothing until the 4th. Then again, Miami doesn’t even have a first this year to offer.

I guess it really comes down to what the market truly is for Watson. The Panthers owner seems like an aggressive guy that might really push after Watson.
 
Any team interested in him should be a short sighted team. A potential playoff team missing maybe one piece to get them there and they can make a run. Otherwise, I wouldn’t gamble on him. But if you think he’s the missing piece of a playoff team and playoff run, then you may think the season can be completed before his civil and legal actions are complete.
