Picked this up today at the local shop during the annual "purge" sale. Time to clear the walls for new stock. Grabbed the Katana while I was at it for $199.

Same, the looks are killer. The more I thought about it, the more I decided having a humbucker would be a good idea in the end.

This is my first "real" strat. I was going to buy a Performer a few years ago but never pulled the trigger. I had a beginners boxed set I picked up off of Craigslist for $50 about 5 years ago but gave it to my brother when I got serious and bought something better. I came to miss it.

Think he was saying he picked up the amp for $200. I’d guess the “purge” sale price for the strat was in the $700 range.

Yeah, I picked up on that after I re-read it. Still a good deal for the amp, though.
