If I remember correctly they didnt up it, it was always 4 Million per season to start. What Mal Moore did was get in contact with Miss Terry and she told Mal to let her discuss this with Nick. From everything I have heard, she wanted to leave Miami and knew Nick would be happier at a University type setting. Alabama presented a perfect chance for her to get what she and Nick wanted at the same time. Miss Terry is to thank for Nick being at Alabama, and Nick will tell you that. Mal Moore was a Recruiter at heart, and old school Alabama football, so he knew Nick was the perfect fit. The rest is history still in the making.

The way a friend told it to me is, Mal told her they wanted Nick and she said you leave this to me and I will get this done. My friend said Mal did everything he could to make sure Nick would come to Alabama, but in the end it was Miss Terry that made it all happen. Thank God for Miss Terry.
