No Indiana, North Carolina bounced hard in the 1st round. Seems like the blue bloods took a second year off.

Which blue blood still remains? Kansas?

so when does Indiana lose their blue blood status? I don't view them on the same level as Duke, UNC, Kentucky or Kansas.

and Louisville shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as the true giants of the sport

I guess. Even they had to go through a play-in game. Not a good look.
Yeah, plus it's been a few years since they struck fear into any opponents.

My take is, if the tournaments ratings are down compared to previous years, they, meaning the expert sports journalists, will blame it on the blue bloods not being in the tournament. Instead of admitting the lack of fans really ruin the experience as a viewer, the odd season, the lack of really a good quality product, etc.

When in reality you look at it, and this years tournament ratings should be at least higher than 2019 given it's back after a year off, and with less fans in attendance that should mean more people are home watching it. But they'll say the ratings were down because of no Duke, Kentucky or Louisville, etc.
