I know this goes against a lot of tradition, but I like the CFP games being played on New Years Eve. I remember one, or a couple years, the semi's was all played on NYE and it was awesome. I think you could load up on NYE with the playoff games, or at the very least have two played on NYE and two played on New Year's. The day just has a far more energy vibe to it as opposed to New Year's Day. Most have tomorrow off work as opposed to New Years when many go back to work the next day depending on when the day falls.

Heck, maybe they should do 3 games on NYE and one game in prime time on New Years if there are many who are hell bent that New Years has a game. I don't know, just seems NYE has the potential to be the bigger day to host these games.

Looking at this years schedule. Penn State/Boise State is fine on NYE, but I would've added Texas/ASU to NYE as well, that is an early game tomorrow that isn't getting enough attention. Move that game to late night NYE.

Make the Rose Bowl be the first game of the day on New Year's to usher in the playoff for that day.

Oh for fuck sake.

I agree with @OregonDucks

I actually said something similar to family. I say just do away with CCGs and have bowls and playoffs start the following week after the last game. New years should be national championship day.

Not bad either. NYE the Championship game. That could be a nice tradition. It is a bit ridiculous that we have the CCG's a month before the playoff and then the playoff runs until late January. It's like an entirely new season by the time the playoffs start up again. I think just running it up to NYE would be best and keep everyone in rhythm.

Also ... women shouldn't serve as CFB officials.

Yeah, I said it.

But then again, I'm kind of a sexist, preferring to see women in skirts and making my food

... so, there's that.

I just don't understand why the NCAA, CFP, and Bowl Committee's, can't accommodate every fan's schedules, wants, and needs. It's like they don't even care.

Do you think they ever cared? To these three, the only thing the fans are good for is to take their money. They are very good at this.

What? I don't know anyone who gets NYE off as a regular holiday and I've never had it at any job I've ever had. It's 100% NYD. Who wants to have hungover staff that didn't get to bed until very late coming in and getting paid to half ass work? :noidea:

Good idea, then you'd have a better excuse to be hung over on Zima.
