The band is like the grocery store. The band forced him not to tour. He was not kicked out of the band, as least that is the way I interpret the article. The band is operating in self interest.

I don't agree with it, but then I don't agree with Pink Floyd for booting Sid Barrett. That is as far as I can respond to the actions of the band.

Pink Floyd's best stuff came after the insane Barrett left.

They also came out with some pretty good stuff after the insane Waters left.
