I know the B1G likes academics and prizes itself on good academics, well you football and academic fans will LOVE this story. Oregon got one of the country's top recruits in large part because of the academics offered at the University of Oregon and the connections faculty make with their students. Awesome read.

US News and World Reports have you ranked 105 and that puts you below Iowa at 83 and above Nebraska at 151 (WTF Nebraska even Bama is ranked higher than you). So Oregon is the second worst academic in the conference by more than 20 positions.

Washington is normally in the top 20 so it's not a bias against the west coast. They just aren't that smart.
