I sat in a cool drizzle on October 23, 2010 in Columbia, MO and watched OU shit the bed.
Undefeated to that point, we would drop another two weeks later in College Station.
I vividly remember the youngsters in Columbia...feeling their oats and giving the middle-aged dude and his cohorts some gas. The girl dressed up as an anemic and bucktoothed 'supergirl' ran up to us for a fleeting photo op...giving us double-barreled birds. The young men getting their drink on with the shittiest beer you could find...not prestigious or rich enough for a frat, the dorm rats had enough liquid courage in them to start talking out their necks. When they got up close enough to see me, my lil brother and his buddy we had just picked up from Fort Collinwood would probably put them in the hospital it was clear they just wanted to make noise. Fair enough little ones. Have your fun.
The old folks that were tailgating were very gracious and loved talking ball.
Fuck Columbia, MO. Fuck the tigers. Fuck their hole in the ground stadium. Other than Silver Dollar City and Lambert's I have no use for the state. Heck, the two biggest cities in the state look like they're trying to get out. I understand.
