Temps have gone up 8 degrees since 6 PM. Going up another 3-5 degrees by morning. It is 59 right now.

But wait! There's more. Expected low is 22 Friday morning. Temps falling starting midnight tomorrow. 30 hours to fall 40 degrees

Things will only get wilder I think. It's been in the 80 and 70s. Has not gotten cold once. I have plants that are acting like it's spring again. My pool is still 61 degrees. For this that don't know, a pool will be relatively close to the average over night Temps. It's mid November, and I know it's Vegas, but it does get cold in the 🏜, but it does get cold. Never even worn a hoodie.

also no wind. Usually when we get this weather there’s wind. Not this time.

Same with some ornamentals I have in the landscaping in front yard...should be dormant but starting new buds.

Middle of November and it's going to get to 78 degrees this afternoon. :gaah:

My neighbor and I were talking about this and recalling when we were school aged kids breaking icicles off and eating them like popsicles. Icicles were a common sight here in Louisiana for all my life but seemed to have disappeared sometime around the turn of the century.

I haven't seen icicles around Louisiana for decades now. The Earth is definitely in a warming trend.

I woke up to snow yesterday. Another upstate ny fall.
 
I'm happy about how late in the year it's staying warm. Keeping Lake Erie warm. Hopefully this winter we'll get some arctic blasts from the north and it will dump tons of lake effect snow.

Not a new thing. I remember painting a house on the exterior that I was renting on New Years Day while wearing a t shirt. I bought this house in 1978 so that would have made it 1977.

I was 2 during the '78 Blizzard. I have heard lots of stories about it and my folks had some hellacious pictures. Personally, I would love to experience one of those again

I was one and a half, you old bastard.

I would fucking LOVE a blizzard.

Late January of 2019 we got dumped on, about 2+ feet over a couple day storm. That was good. Last year we had a good storm on a Tuesday. Started snowing mid-morning and dropped about a foot that day. I knocked off work and went skiing. That was the most fun I've had skiing bumps in years. Snow was so soft I was just launching off everything.
