I've been compiling this list for the last couple years and always thought it to be interesting. Below are the games. Feel free to add if I missed one:

Week 0:

Stanford at Hawaii

Week 1:

Mississippi State at Southern Miss
Northwestern at Tulane
Cal at Oregon State

Week 2:

UCLA at UNLV
UNC at Charlotte
WVU at Ohio
Houston at Rice

Week 3:

OU at Temple
Duke at Tulane
SMU at Missouri State
Iowa State at Arkansas State
Utah at Wyoming

Week 4:

Arkansas at Memphis
Washington at Washington State
Cal at San Diego State
BYU at East Carolina

Week 5:

Houston at Oregon State

How many are return trips for 3 to 1 deals? I know it’s n previous years both Texas and OU came to the Sun Bowl but that was the only reason they did so.

WVU/Ohio is a 2 for 1

So, are WSU and OrSU P4&1/2s?

cheapest ticket for the UNC/Charlotte game is $184 on stubhub, lmao.

totally not doing that.

Oregon St being G5 still gives me the sads.
it throws me off all the time, too. especially when their transfers are classified as mid-major players in hoops.

That and the four ACC Tobacco Road schools playing at App, ECU or Charlotte always draws well.

I like the fact that WF, UNC, Duke and NC State play on the road at the other NC schools.

I wish the big Texas schools would come to the Sun Bowl. IIRC, UT and Tech have once. Don’t ever remember A&M, TCU or Baylor visiting the Sun Bowl…except for the actual Sun Bowl game. SMU and Houston did but only because we were in the same conference. That don’t count IMHO.

Imagine OSU playing at like Kent State or Ohio? Those tix would be insane. Somewhat similar here, though UNC obviously isn't what OSU is, but they're top dog in NC.
I remember way back in the day, 2009 I believe, when they played Toledo up in Cleveland Browns stadium. I was living in Cleveland at the time and went down to tailgate and it was awesome. If they went to Kent State, that would be chaos with how small that area is. However I'd happily pay to go to OU and get a cabin in Hocking Hills to stay. You might be onto something there.

It would be amazing for the city/school. I always love it when P4 teams travel to mid major schools. I know MSU has gone to play Central and Western Michigan at their house before. ND doesn't really have a "small" school in state, or Id love for that to happen. I'd love to play at IU sometime. Even though they're P4. Probably the closest thing for ND would be playing at NIU. An hour 15 away from Chicago and only like 3 hours from ND. Plus given what happened last year, I think it would make for a pretty neat environment/atmosphere.

What are you talking about? Why wouldn't ND go play at Ball State? :becky:

Oh shit. Completely forgot about them. I'd be all for that. That'd be awesome actually.
They may have to bring in some additional seating somehow, 16k is an awfully intimate environment lol

The game against Cincinnati at Paul Brown Stadium in 2002 is probably the closest to a road game against a Non power conference team we will ever get. Of course if we played @ Cincinnati now they are now a P4 team.
