Payouts to fired FBS coaches

"Auburn ($31.2 million) and Nebraska ($25.8 million) led the way in dead money payments, followed by Texas ($21.5 million), Ole Miss ($20.4 million) and Kansas ($20 million)."

"Power 5 programs included in the survey of public universities -- those in the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC -- accounted for 88% of the dead money. The SEC led the way with $151 million, followed by the Pac-12 ($114.1 million), Big Ten ($106.8 million), Big 12 ($58.8 million) and ACC ($40.0 million)."

Bo Pelini >> Jim Harbaugh ain't saying much.

You have a mental disorder.
Say what you will about Harbaugh's inability to win the biggest games but my team is currently ranked 7th and bowl eligible. And while losing last Saturday sucks, being in games like that are way more fun than fighting for bowl eligibility every year (which I've experienced).

Well Nebraska doesn't want to be "Just another Iowa" of which you seem to be fine with at Michigan.

Like Harbaugh, Pelini never won a conference championship. Nebraska will keep hiring and firing until they get it right.

Iowa isn't in the top 7....

For that matter, Harbaugh's never even gotten Michigan to the CCG.

Maybe if they paid him more?

Anyone know how much of this is going to Charlie Weiss? Or was he prior to 2010?

Kansas may be the only one. I'm guessing what Notre Dame paid him isn't included since the article noted it didn't include private school payouts. Pretty sure Briles got something like $4+ million from Baylor so it isn't included in that figure either.

Lots of 9 and 10 win seasons in one of the hardest divisions in football vs. lots of 9 and 10 win seasons in one of the easiest divisions in football.

You moved the goalposts.

Here's your #7 ranking of which you know will go the way of being historically over-rated come end of season.

LMAO!!!

Too bad they didn't go back a few more years and they could have included the Charlie Weis Bonanza!!! :heh:

LOL @ boasting about a 3 point win over 3-6 Nebraska.

That's how bad Michigan football program is.

LOL @ boasting about an in-season #7 ranking with that schedule.

I don't think I did brag about that particular win?
