It's always funny to me how people get upset about corporate sponsors leaving athletes due to their words or actions. The biggest reason they are sponsored by the companies are their public image and performance. The athletes are representatives of the company's brand. Public image dips, value to sponsors dips. You're free to say whatever you want or do whatever you want, but acting there's repercussions for us ALL if we do or say stupid shit. We don't get on sponsors for leaving a player when they no longer perform. Because they're not providing value. Same with public image. They go hand in hand.
