I hope he can stay healthy because he's been pretty solid when he is. One comment on Twitter stood out to me, something to the effect of; "he's everything Patriots fans thought they were getting when N'Keal Harry was drafted.

A dumb trade for the Patriots.
Every draft year, you get maybe two [±1] NFL starters out of the 5th round. The Dolphins don't exactly have a stellar history of drafting as it is.
Despite being damaged goods, Parker slides into the Pats offense as a starter and certainly improves their roster. Even if it is for only ten games/season, he's still highly likely going to generate a greater positive impact on the productivity of the Pats than the extra 5th round pick will on the Phins. And Parker is not a cap albatross, either - making about $6.25M/y for the next two.
This deal isn't going to change the course of the organization for either franchise, but the likelihood is that whoever the Phins draft with that 5th round pick will probably play two years of special teams before getting cut whereas Parker will be a legit factor in the Pats offense for the next two years. But you have to also realize that he would be the 4th WR. He makes too much money to be a 4th (maybe 5th) in MIA. So they instead flip dead weight for a 5th rounder. Might not land a starter, but you need depth and role players as well. 5th is a great place to stock up your special teams.
I get why NE did this deal, also. 5th rounder isn't very valuable when you have the opportunity to bring in a guy who will be a #2 at worst, for them.

Davante Parker hasn't exactly been stellar the last few years.
Not sure where you come up with 10 games, but these are his NFL stats;
He was saddled with a collection of crappy QB's in Miami yet those numbers from 2019 and even 2020 look intriguing to me.

He is nothing special and the Patriots gave up too much for him.

Always injured, played a full season once. You don't find it odd that a WR taken in the 1st round (meaning he is a starter) didn't average 10 starts per season over his career? Always with the lower body injuries that lets him come into a game for a quarter and get credit in that stat list.
But he will probably get healthier now that he is 29.
56, 57, 72 and 63 reception seasons would suggest he plays more than a quarter before heading for the tub.
Giving up 3rd and 5th round picks for him seems pretty reasonable and getting him away from that clown show in Miami and pairing him up with a very accurate thrower of the football can only help his career.
