I’m sucking up to that bet I made on the Cards to win the WS back when they were still like 5 games out of the WC and were still behind the Padres, Reds and Phillies.

I’ll gladly accept the loss if the Braves beat them, but this just smells like a year where the Cardinals come out of nowhere to make an October run.

When at any point, they’re left for dead, if they make the playoffs that year, they’re gonna make a run. After the Braves swept them in St Louis in early August, they were left for dead. I don’t think they’ve lost a game since

We need the Cardinals to win. Otherwise we’re gonna see a ton of posters claiming to be big time Dodgers fans despite not mentioning them once during the regular season and making comments about how their significant other just found out Justin Turner is a ginger.
