Wazzu's QB offer to transfer

Okay those of you that understand this, would you help an old man "get it"?

If this article is true, little ole Wazzu is paying their QB $400,000 this year and he's been offered $1 million from another school for next year. Again, I'm assuming both are true.

If true my questions are:

1) How much are QBs at the Middling 2/lower P2 schools making? (I know the biggies are paying big money.)
2) What's the going rate for other positions? Assuming, DT, Left tackle and CBs would be next if it follows the NFL in the same order.
3) How long will the schools without real deep pockets be able to keep up with the Jonses?
4) Do those businesses/individuals funding NIL to these levels see a return on investment that covers the investment amounts and/or produces profit?

Allegedly, Michigan is offering Bryce Underwood 10 mill to flip from LSU....

And it's a huge recruiting fuckup since the kid is 10 minutes away from Ann Arbor, Michigan.
