Morning all

Went to inlaws saturday, helped with yard work. Sunday did yard work at our house

a week ago I was wearing winter jacket, this week, shorts and a tshirt

Brunch at my mom's, then grilled and ate by the fire for dinner. Need to retool my workout routine to fit my new situation.

My brother is cleaning up the basement of our old house, because he's buying it. He sent a container of golf balls, hot wheels, baseball/basketball cards, and other random stuff home with me.

he's buying house you grew up in? Seems strange to me, I would not want to live in any of houses I lived in growing up.

although my neighborhood has a few homes with 2nd generation living in them

There is still nothing that kills me more than someone playing the guitar who does not know how to play the guitar.

He's been renting it from my mom for a couple years now. It's not necessarily the nicest house, but it's on at least an acre, and it's surrounded by family farm property. I'm sure he bought it for much less than what the open market would be

People living on their family compounds creep me out man

Growing up, it was fun to walk over to the farm, and play football and whiffle ball with my cousins, or ride bikes back the lane, or ride bikes a mile or so over to my other uncle's to swim.

I mean yeah, I get that, but still

Of course my grandma lived in 3 houses her entire 91 years of life

House she was born in, house that was rebuilt after the house she was born in burned down, and a house that they built on property she grew up on that her dad gave to her as a wedding present

Something to discuss with a therapist
I'd never do it.

I mean, I get how it would be cool to have "gramma" around, when you're 8.

Weird AF to want mommy around when you're 40.

FWIW, my mom lives 5-10 minutes away from there. The house is just connected to the family farm.

Assuming I have kids, I'd want my mom nearby, though. Childcare is expensive af
