I logged in today and noticed I had something like 50 notifications and they keep rolling in even as I type this. I clicked on one notification and it was some extensive LOLing at what was taking place last night during the Alama Bowl. I figured I am not going to revisit each toxic notification. Oregon unfortunately lost in the Alamo Bowl last night, but even in this loss there is great pride in the Ducks program and the players who faced adversity surrounding last nights bowl game. I am absolutely proud of what they did and what they played for.

Sure Oregon lost. But this Ducks team was decimated by injuries (all year), had a handful of guys opt out of the bowl game, and almost the entire coaching staff either leaving, or sticking around just to coach in this game even though they were heading to a different state as soon as the game ended to take on their new jobs. But these Oregon players, the guys still on this roster, showed up in all that was going against them and fought and played hard. Even at halftime when the game looked to be over and it could've been easy to throw in the towel and just wait out the next 30 minutes, these Ducks refused to let it end that way and fought back. There was something like 30 freshman who played in this game. They fought all the way back in that second half and gave a glimmer of hope that they were one big play away from being down just one possession. Impressive.

Hats off to the Duck players who stayed and played in this bowl game. To all the Freshman who played last night, the future is very bright. The WR's, who are all inexperienced, played in the game and came up big in many spots. The future is bright in Eugene and with this roster. Coach Lanning is walking into a talent of talent. Oregon lost some exhibition game called the Alamo Bowl, where Oklahoma was honoring their former coach Bob Stoops, but the Ducks were setting themselves up for next year and the year after, and seeing the fight in this young group sets up for a lot of excitement in Oregon's near future.

SKO DUCKS!

You gotta support your team regardless!!! People will not like you for it ,,,, who cares!!!!

Where did you go during the game?

You left the rest of us Duck supporters faster than Miami's jet flew Mario to South Beach to fend for ourselves against a wagonload of Sooners and some horrible calls that cost the Ducks the game.... I gotta say, Im a little pissed...or at the very least disappointed

Oregon was preparing for this bowl game with assistant positional coaches, many who were already thinking about their next job, some may see it honorable and a nice thing that they stuck it out with these players to finish the job and season, but the real honorable men in all this are all the players who stuck it out and played in this bowl game and played for OREGON.

Think the Ducks should've gone and called Bellotti to come back and coach this game to negate Oklahoma's use of their legendary coach Stoops

Blown out in 3 of their last 4 games. The Oregon Dynasty! sure is rolling!
Oregon played 30+ freshman in this game, had half of a coaching staff, and had many players opt out for either injuries or NFL. The downside of being a great team and having studs on the roster but ending up in a middle of the road exhibition bowl game because your head coach decided to find interest in his dream job early November.

He does support his team, I'll give him that. Too bad he's too stupid to understand it's a competition and when your team loses you tip your hat to the opponent as they got the job done. That's why he gets so much crap on here, he doesn't understand competition and the other guys get scholarships and work and play hard too.

What a Piece of trash that stadium is anyways. Looked like a local cattle Auction house

Looks like a whole lot of excuses to me

Excuse list:
a) it's a crap stadium

Deflection list:
a) enjoy your loss after all the opt outs to OSU poster pointing out his excuses

Poor Bryan McClendon. He’s always the interim coach in bowl games in no win situations.

I thought he handled himself well last night. He did in 2015 too when Richt, Schottenheimer, Pruitt and several other assistant coaches left UGA before the bowl game and beat Penn State.

Damn Good Dawg. Welcome back in Athens anytime.

Didn't they also leave for Miami? Or they were fired and ended up in Miami

Richt was fired and headed to Miami. Schottenheimer wasn’t fired, but was in a lane duck spot and left(don’t blame him) and Pruitt’s scummy ass left for Bama. A lot of other assistants followed Richt to Miami and didn’t stay for the bowl. Even McClendon left for SCar after the bowl game. There were very few coaches from the 2015 team still with the program for 2016

So what’s the path for playing Georgia on Friday!
