I was a kid, and hagler, herns, and sugar ray got me hooked on boxing.

Happened across the first Hagler/Antuofermo fight in the Holloman, AFB barracks TV room in 79 and liked Hagler's relentless style. That fight was the first of a bunch of epic fights he treated us to. Antuofermo v2.0, Minter, Duran, that 3 round brawl with Hearns and the robbery fight against Leanoard. Holy shit, so many awesome fights.

A year or two after he quit fighting I ran across him at a Battle of the Bands event at a big ass bar/music hall in Boston. Pretty sure he never saw me because he was too busy staring at my new wife.
