Replacing MacBook Pro Battery

Looks like the battery on my MacBook is on its way out. Not keeping a charge and won't charge. I looked at some places on replacement guidance and kits. Thinking about trying it.

You get it figured out? Did it go out with age from normal use? Because just get the basic M1 MacBook Air if that's the case. You can find one new for $800, and if it's an intel MacBook Pro you have, it'll be an upgrade.
