I think they assume people will get vaccinated if they play hardball. It seems a little heavy-handed to me, but understand they don’t want to have to cancel games.Yeah so firing the coaches and players will ensure no hiccups occur.........

The NFLPA is easily the shittiest union in professional sports. DeMaurice Smith is a lackey for the league office and I can't remember one meaningful concession the NFL has made while they trample on his members. I mention this because the NFL coaches don't have their own union, but the do have a coaches association that is guided by the NFLPA. That being said, the coaches are screwed. They will acquiesce or they will be unemployed.

You fail to understand the mentality of a football player. You are pretty much committing felonious assault on every play. Sometimes this attitude spills over into real life.
In any event, players who commit serious crimes are punished and even released regularly.
