He was less memorable than the other guys because he was so dry and analytical.

I really didn't realize he retired that long ago.

Great sportscaster. Worked with Dick Enberg (“Oh, my!”), Gary Bender, Curt Gowdy, etc.

Remarked at a Georgetown game of Allen Iverson, “That little monkey can play!”. He apologized for it, but Iverson said he was not bothered by it.
