Just like that. Gone. Only 54.

One of my all time favorite actors. Omar in the Wire….Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire. He’s nominated for his most recent work in Lovecraft Country (which I’ve not seen yet)

This sucks. RIP to someone I always thought was a beast of an actor.

Fuck….

RIP man.

This one sucks. He was great in everything I saw him in. A unique coolness to him that cannot be replicated.
That’s what I think the appeal was for me too. He just kind of took a role his way. And I always like the way it went.

It’s not his most famous role (Omar Comin’ has already been quoted.

But, this scene always comes to mind when I think of Williams’ work. Boardwalk Empire was grandiose as hell, but ultimately underwhelming to me when it was all done. But, Chalky White was just an amazing character in it.

Another dead drug addict. Yay for Hollywood.

Another great Chalky White piece in memorial….

This dude was great in everything I've seen him in.

Literally.

Ive seen most of everything he’s been in and he’s always been awesome. Whether it was a starring TV role or a minor character in 2 scenes of a movie.

And he’s always seemed like a super great guy too.

HBO used him a lot and I never got why he never really got any kinds of movie roles.

He was great. And playing a gay gangster in Omar was just groundbreaking.

I mean….he’s done plenty of movie. It just hasn’t been quality stuff. I hear he had some more recent movie roles where he got to stretch out his chops more like the HBO stuff.

And I think he’s up for an Emmy this year.
