I get bombarded with an ad today for Bill Burr Presents Immoral Compass…..on the Roku channel. IMDb doesn’t have a lot of ratings yet (60) but the rating average is 9.6.

Anyone know how to watch Roku channel when you don’t have a Roku? This looks super interesting.

I know of no way but we bought one Roku device for about $25 and found it to be money well spent. After a week, I put one on every television in the house.

I either have Roku TV's or HDMI Roku devices on every TV in my house too. It's just a very simple way to add & use streaming apps. A great user platform. Even my 80 year old mother can navigate the Roku, LOL

As for the Roku channel. I watch it from time to time, they have some movies & television shows that I might have to pay for.

Thanks for the feedback. We have fire sticks, and are perfectly fine with them.

I would hate to see programming segregate based on the streaming capable device. The streamers are already fragmenting to the point you have to make decisions, or you will end up paying as much as cable.

I think I might have found that I can go to the Roku channel site and watch this show on my phone. But, I want to be able to watch it on TV with the Mrs. I just don’t see an app I can download for this channel. Oh well.

There are several series on Roku and Hulu channels that my family enjoys binge watching. I am not big on TV or movies but it keeps the estrogenically enhanced humans in my house something to occupy their time and stay off my back.

Hulu live. Yeah…we are probably paying as much as cable at this point. But, any time I walk into the bedroom there is something from TLC playing.

To your point….it keeps her occupied.

Your first mistake was fire sticks...

Can you not cast from your phone to a fire stick?

You probably can. I’ve not looked into it. But that’s a good idea.

I’ve never once felt that fire sticks were a mistake from my end…they wouldn’t be hard to replace if I felt that way.

We are not using Hulu Live and have expanded basic cable through the football season. Come February we will have about 8 digital over air channels, Netflix and our Roku.

This does look really interesting.

Roku has an app for free on your phone. if you can screen mirror

if you don't mind a few commercials - tubi has a shit load of good movies. Watching the Alamo now.
We have tubi and a few other channels loaded on the Roku. There is just nothing about watching tv or movies appealing to me. I doubt that I have watched 1% of the big, great movies of the last decade. I could probably count the number of times that I have went to the theatres in the last 40 years on one hand. Band of Brothers and Game of Thrones are the last two series that I have really loved enough to binge. My only show that I care to watch is The Curse of Oak Island and it is not a must see.
